Is there food at ConFest?
There are communal kitchen spaces where you can bring your groceries and cook your own meals, some of the kitchen spaces have plates, pots and pans etc but some don't, some are specifically vegetarian, gluten free etc and others are more general. There is also a food market selling vegetarian food, desserts and hot & cold drinks. Bringing your own plate/bowl and mug and cutlery is a good idea either way. Go to This Page for more info on the communal kitchens.
Can I bring pets to ConFest?
Only if you have an Assistant Animal for sight issues or other reasons, if this is the case please contact directors (at) dte.org.au for further information. For the health and safety of the animal, ConFesters and the local wildlife no other pets are allowed on site. Unauthorised animals may be removed to the local animal shelter or pound.

Are there toilets and showers at ConFest?
Yes, there are well constructed toilets around the site, volunteers work hard to ensure they comply with all regulations. There are also cold water showers set up around site, often in trees. The water can at times be warm to hot depending on how much sunlight falls on the pipes.

What do I do with my rubbish at Confest?
There is no rubbish collection service at ConFest, please minimise the packaging you bring, avoid bringing glass and do all possible to take all your rubbish with you when you leave. Dispose of it responsibly on your way or at home. Please do not leave your rubbish in the 44 gallon drums around site that are intended to contain water for fire safety, at the communal kitchen spaces or in the market.

Can I bring my car into ConFest?
If you can, please leave it outside in the parking area (ask for directions at the gate when you arrive). Otherwise there are three options;

- Carfree - There is fixed carparking for ConFesters camping in Carfree. It is usually situated closer to the carfree camping area to make it easier to get gear to the camp site. Hand trolleys and barrows are there to help move your gear.
- Gypsy - You may have your car, caravan, camper, truck, etc at your camp. Your vehicle must remain there while you are at ConFest.
- Access - This area is for people who wish to camp with their car but come and go during ConFest.

Please note: for safety reasons the front gate will be locked around sundown and no vehicle other than site and emergency vehicles may move around site at night. If you arrive at ConFest after dark, please be prepared to either camp next to / in your car or walk into site with your gear for the night.

Can I take photos at ConFest?
There are many ConFesters who for good reasons do not wish to be photographed, please be respectful of this and seek permission before you take someone's photo.

Photographs, video and audio recordings are sometimes taken at ConFest for creative purposes and simply to document our celebrations; our "history as it happens". This should always be announced and permission sought beforehand to allow those not wishing to participate to avoid the recording device or leave the area.

Please note: All photographs and video & audio recordings are the copyright of the Down To Earth Co-Operative Society, this has been done to protect the privacy of ConFesters. If you have been photographed or recorded against your wishes, and are unable to resolve the situation yourself, please report the matter to a ConFest volunteer on site or to directors (at) dte.org.au
